Barry Roughton
After a life long commitment as an environmental Heritage Preservationist, Visionary Developer Barry Roughton concieved of an inclusive Marine oriented teaching and research Institute, expressing First Nations wisdom and utilizing modern technologies, education and science to mitigate climate change as it pertains to the oceans. Pacific Spirit Marine Institute was founded to advocate a simple cross-cultural adage: "To leave the world a better place than we found it."

Mr. Roughton, resolute in the conviction, advocates forging eco-alliances to assist concerned citizenry with proven solutions to pressing global oceanographic envronmental concerns.

James P. Lewis
James P. Lewis believes that idealism, goodness and success do go together. An International filmmaker for over 35 years he co-founded PSMI after realizing the global consequences of recent generations assault on the planet. A sailor, an artist, a teacher, and a committed and concerned enviromentalist Mr. Lewis utalizes the synergistic advantage of media and information technologies to harness ideas and applications in the battle to heal the oceans.
